In search of beasties

My Dad’s love of medieval history meant childhood holidays were punctuated by visits to churches, where Dad would go off in search of an Anglo Saxon cross of Norman archway. During these visits, I would go in search of the gargoyles and beasties that whispered and conspired under the eaves and gables.
