Back In 2012, I became a Quest Scholar, which helped fund my MA in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art. I didn’t realise it then, but it was the start of an incredibly nurturing journey with my work and meeting fellow makers.
Over the past 13 years, Quest has opened extraordinary opportunities —from exhibiting at the V&A and Buckingham Palace to selling through Fortnum & Mason and working with inspiring groups such as IntoArt.
It still amazes me thinking that they would take a punt on a young artist who enjoyed putting on punk festivals and made figures with nails in their head and foxes in wheelie bins. The support and recognition provided by Quest have been truly transformative for artists and craftspeople like me.
As Quest celebrates 35 years of championing excellence in British craft, the charity is looking for a £35 donation to help further their work supporting makers and sustaining the next generation of British Craft.
